In the Ayurvedic philosophy, Abhyanga means "application of oil on the body". The sesame oil contained in this balm is the oil most used in Ayurveda. It is relaxing, nourishing, protective. In a calm and quiet atmosphere, ideally lit by candlelight to allow the energies to circulate freely, first breathe deeply and calmly. Ideally have a professional massage you, but you can also practice the massage yourself.
Take a small amount of the Abhyanga balm, rub your palms together to warm it up. Begin with the feet, stretching each toe, and press softly on the soles and the heels. Smooth your feet, your toes, then moves up to the ankles.
Move up the legs to join the solar plexus with circular moves. Continue moving up towards the neck. Move your head softly in circles as you massage yourself. Go down on each side, to the shoulders. With your fingertips, press your scalp slightly using both hands.
Finish with the face. Bring the index finger and middle finger on the sides of the nose, go up the nose bone, the forehead, and stop on the temples, forming small circles. Then go back down to the cheeks and start again.
To leave this moment of relaxation, breathe deeply a few times, and ideally complete with a detox tea...
