HISTORY AND ORIGIN
Clay is a type of dirt that comes from the transformation of a stone naturally rich in minerals. It is found in small or large deposits, often in the open air. It is the first natural medicine known to mankind. It has been recognised and used for hundreds of years for its therapeutic properties. A real living substance with a natural intelligence, it has two distinctive properties: absorption and adsorption which allow it to exchange the impurities and toxins absorbed against minerals.
Kaolinite is one of the softest clays for the skin. Its name 'kaolin' comes from the first known deposit located in Kao-Ling, China. In France, it is found in Brittany and the region of Limoges.

CATTIER CLAY: A BEAUTY CLAY
Cattier superfine kaolin clay, carefully selected and conditioned, is of incomparable quality. It is extracted in Brittany, in an environment preserved from any pollutions and, to enhance its numerous properties, it is dried naturally. With its multiple benefits, Cattier clay is the daily ally for a healthy life, in harmony with nature.

USE
Preparation of clay paste: Pour the desired amount of white clay in a glass or wood bowl. Add mineral water until the clay is totally immerged. Let it set for approx. half an hour then stir with a non-metallic spatula to obtain a smooth paste.
Beauty mask: Apply the clay paste as a thick layer on the face and neck, avoiding the eye and lip contour. Let it set approx. 15 minutes without letting it dry on the skin. Rinse with lukewarm water, then dry the skin with a cotton towel. Complete by applying a moisturising cream suited to your skin type.
Cataplasm: Apply the clay paste on a natural fabric and spread it 2-3 cm thick with a non-metallic spatula. Apply the cataplasm leaving the clay in direct contact with the skin and maintain with a bandage (not too tight). If the cataplasm is to be applied on an irritated area, place a thin gauze bandage between the clay and the skin. Leave the cataplasm on for at least one hour. To remove it, remove a maximum amount of clay (humidify it if necessary), then rinse the skin with lukewarm water and dry it with a cotton towel.
In a bath, to soften the skin: Pour one or two teaspoons of superfine clay in a glass of mineral water and stir with a non-metallic spatula, then add the blend to the bathwater.
You may use the superfine white clay alone or along with essential oils.
