Lavera's activities follow the german BDIH association's recommendations concerning controlled natural cosmetics.
Like Lavera, product manufacturers which have received the BDIH label use natural raw materials such as vegetable oils, fats and waxes, plant extracts, essential oils and aromatic components, all certified organic or from plants harvested with natural methods. Along with this strict selection of raw materials, the ecological impact of each product is taken into account.
Most Lavera products are certified by the Vegan Association and are labelled on the package as suitable for vegans. Exceptions might be products containing beeswax.
